Camp Samac's Summer Jamborette - August 1-4, 2025 Open to all Cubs, Scouts, Venturers & Rovers, and equivalent Girl Guide sections. Scouts and Guides from all WOSM and WAGGS members are welcome. Individuals may register on their own and will be grouped with other individuals in a composite camp site. Camp Samac is easily accessible by public transportation and an easy 1 hour commute from Toronto's Union Station to the Durham College / Ontario Tech University campus across the street from the campsite. International guests Welcome! 2024 we hosted Scout from UK Scouting and Scouting America, as well as Girl Guide of Canada. 2023 celebrated with an excellent Korean theme in spirit with World Scout Jamboree. 2022 was a pre-camp for Haarlem Jamborette 2019 we hosted 120 Scouts from the UK Contingent to the World Scout Jamboree In 2018 we hosted delegations of Scouts from Russia, Denmark, and Finland. Tell us when you are coming to Canada, we will help you plan your trip, make reservations, assist with transportation, and maybe even home hospitality. We can arrange longer stays at Camp Samac in cabins or tents and assist with extra gear you won't want to carry with you on a train or airplane. We can help with everything from grocery shopping to onsite activities and off site visits to tourist sites. The nearest airport is Toronto Pearson International (YYZ) with daily flights from hundreds of destinations. Easy public transit from the airport to the camp. International Guests are required to provide from their respective National Scouting Organization (NSO): - proof of membership (letter from NSO with names listed) - proof of liability insurance for North America (obtain from our NSO) - sign our code of conduct - Safe from Harm or NSO equivalent (child & youth safety) Camp site amenities Summer camping at Lake Samac means, archery, pellet shooting, access to an Olympic sized swimming pool, camping on well maintained grounds, obstacle courses, hiking trails, and more. Camp sites have access to fresh municipal water and flush toilets. Sites have campfire rings and tenting under trees or in the open field. |

Camp Samac is a premiere Scout property in Southern Ontario, the center of North America. It is located in the City of Oshawa. You can departure on Sunday or take advantage of the Civic Day long weekend and stay a third night until Sunday. International Scouts are welcome to arrange extended stays. Contact:
